Dennis Weir I know this post may come a day later than intended, but it is no less heart felt and honest.

Thank you for showing Dan and I what it means to be men.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to teach us the hard lessons in life, even when we fought you. Thank you for always being there for us. Thank you for the countless hours of cleaning the pool so that we could enjoy it. Thank you for driving for months during summer vacation and March break. Thank you for always being a leader in whatever we did wether it was boy scouts, soccer or hockey. Thank you for standing up for us, and teaching us how to stand for ourselves.

Dad, Thank you for taking us to Disney, the Cabot Trail, the place I would eventually call home Vancouver & West Edmonton Mall ;-).

Thank you for defining what a brother means and how important it is to stand by them, even if you don’t agree with them. Thank you for helping us build forts, fish for Pike, ride bikes, teaching us how to dive and play cards.

Thank you for teaching me to understand how important tenacity really is. Thank you for supporting me in my endeavours even when you did not agree with them. That you for having the wisdom and insight to let us make our own mistakes. I know how hard that is for you. Thank you for being a never ending source of compassion, understanding and forgiveness.

You mean the world to me, which is why it is so difficult for me to not be able to spend days like this with you.

Papa, I love you, I miss you and I am SO incredibly grateful for all that you have done for me.

Thank you for giving your all to make my life that much better.

Your loving son,
